Time to Get Physical

Thursday 20th August

**Update**

Hearing that the problems at Lightwater Country Park had returned with the return of the better weather, I took the opportunity to move quickly with Cllr Moira Gibson, the leader of Surrey Heath Borough Council and assist with the organisation of a physical barrier at the entrance to the park.

Naturally, as I have learned is the case with local government in general, the principle had to be investigated, evaluated and costed before being brought before the committee, but with expedited officer support, Moira and I, capably assisted by Cllr Tim Dodds the ward member, managed to rush it to the relevant committee this week who agreed to support the provision.

So, in addition to the CCTV deemed appropriate by the police it looks like the barriers are now on their way.
Next stop - dealing with the pedestrian anti-socials.
