Amber Jenkins, County Council officer, reminded me this morning that I still have some funding available through the 'Member Allocation Fund'.
Each year, the County Council allows a small fund to each County Councillor to dispense, subject to criteria, towards small projects that would benefit parts of the community uncovered by other means.
Historically, the fund has been dispensed for a variety of projects, ranging from School gates through to special events and even grit spreaders, from a variety of applicants from churches through to cricket teams.
However, the reason for the blogpost is that its currently use it or lose it, since I am unable to carry over any surplus into next year.
So, if any blog readers have any ideas fopr community projects that may need small-scale assistance, then please let me know and I shall ask the local team to pass on the application form and guidance notes.
