Don't get me wrong. Part of the reason I champion the Conservative cause is because I believe in aspiration and social mobility. I profess to admire a sort of watered down 'Reaganomics' that ensures that all are able to create wealth which in turn - through careful and non wasteful management - looks after those who can't, rather than those who won't. And in promoting this message I like a good debate with a proper socialist - you know the 'tax and spend, redistribution sort of guy' that one generally encounters at family weddings etc, once outside of the political arena. A proper socialist.
