Lamentable news this week from Nationwide in respect of the Bagshot branch.
It is regrettable that Nationwide and even the proposed agency couldn't come to terms, but it is time to move on and try to take control of the situation by way of a new facility, or at least promoting Bagshot as a place that might easily attract a new facility or operator.
I had heard that the BC are working behind the scenes on a number of leads in that direction, so I daresay that all is not completely lost - certainly not in the mid to long term.
The campaign has been a superb local effort though from all involved, even if the result wasn't the one desired and I shall certainly be making myself available for the closure party.
